Elgin “Model 5705” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1943.
The “Model 5705” has a square, stepped case with a two-tone gold and white dial. It was priced to consumers at $42.50. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 26mm wide. Original two-tone gold and white dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 555 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
