Scarce Elgin “Model 1160” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white and green gold fill, circa 1933.
The “Model 1160” has a white gold filled case with a green gold filled bezel frame. It was priced to consumers at $42.50 in 1933. This is the first example I have offered of this elusive model in many years. This example is in excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel corners and lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 25mm wide. Original dial is superb. Glass crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 484 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
