The “LaPorte” has a dramatic flared case with checkered pattern on the bezel. It was priced at $75.00 in 1954. This example is in crisp, near mint condition showing no wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 25mm wide. Original starburst pattern dial is superb. Domed acrylic crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 670 adjusted manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
