Uncommon Hamilton “Carson” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1935.

The “Carson” was among the first group of Hamilton watches with the new 14/0-size grade 980 movement and was advertised as curved to fit the wrist. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1935 and is quite uncommon with the inlaid black enamel figure dial. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel, and is the nicest example I have ever offered. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 38mm long and 23mm wide. Refinished inlaid enamel dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
