Elgin “Model E-2 Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-2 Engraved” has a rectangular, cut-corner case with stylized Art Deco engravings on the bezel and the sides of the case, as well as semi-hooded lugs. It was priced at $35.00 in 1928. This example is in excellent condition with only a tiny spot of brassing in each bezel corner. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Original new old stock dial is superb, has new luminous. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
