Uncommon Illinois “New Yorker” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1929.

With its stylized engravings on the bezel and case sides, the “New Yorker” is a very eye-catching design and one of the classic Illinois high Art Deco designs. The “New Yorker” was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1929 and is fairly uncommon in yellow. This is the first I have offered in more than 15 years. It is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Original two-tone gold finish dial is very good (dated 5-8-29 on reverse), and has been re-lumed. Has new glass crystal. This watch has a 17-jewel Illinois grade 905 movement.
