Collectors have dubbed these models “Devil Diver” due to their 666-foot water resistance as stated on the dial. Caravelle was a division of Bulova and these lower-cost dive watches were often available to service personnel through post exchanges in the 1970s. This example is in excellent condition with some small nicks and light scratches. Rotating bezel has a few small nicks and scratches. Screwdown caseback is excellent. The case measures 43mm long and 37mm wide. Original gray dial is superb, with a hint of purple in certain light (although not as intense as it appears in the photos). Has new acrylic crystal. Has signed Caravelle crown. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Caravelle 11 OWACD automatic movement with quick-set date.
