Hamilton “Tonneau Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.
With its large distinctive case and stylized oak leaf engraved designs, the “Tonneau Engraved” is one of the classic Hamilton designs from the 1920s. It was priced to consumers at $57.00 in 1929 and Hamilton records indicate that 16,391 were produced. This example is in excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished two-tone dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F movement.
