Very rare Gruen “Quadron” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 18K white gold with black enamel, circa 1929.
One of the most striking Gruen designs in the Quadron series, this watch has amazing Art Deco stylized geometric patterns engraved on the bezel inlaid with black enamel. It was priced at $125.00 in 1929. Quadron models are rare in 18K gold and this is only the second example I have ever offered. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing almost no wear. Curved and engraved caseback is excellent, with a name engraving. The case measures 36mm long and 23mm wide. Dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen Precision grade 117 Quadron movement.
