Illinois “Marquis” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.
The “Marquis” has an elaborately engraved case and was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1929. This example is in excellent condition, with only a touch of brassing to the tips of the lugs. Caseback is excellent unengraved, with a few tiny specks of wear near the crown. The case measures 39mm long and 29mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Illinois grade 905 movement.
