Lord Elgin “Clubman” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1952.
The “Clubman” has black inlay around the bezel and a waffle-textured dial. It was priced at $79.50 in 1952. It is very scarce with an original black dial and this is one of the very few I have seen. It is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 39mm long and 30mm wide. Original black dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 680 movement. Period Apex stretch bracelet is superb.
