Elgin “Holcomb” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1955.
The “Holcomb” has a gold and black checkerboard patterned dial and black inlaid markers on the case. It was priced at $65.00 in 1955. This example is in excellent condition with no brassing to the bezel. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a touch of wear in the corners. The case measures 38mm long and 23mm wide. Original gold and black checkerboard dial is superb. Has new acrylic crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Elgin grade 671 movement. Fitted with gently used 1950s vintage Kreisler genuine lizard strap.
