Extremely rare Hamilton “Tiffany Glenn Curtiss” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 18K yellow gold, circa 1930.The “Glenn Curtiss” was named for aviation pioneer Glenn H. Curtiss. Normally offered in 14K gold, Hamilton produced a mere 26 examples of the "Glenn Curtiss" model in solid 18K gold for Tiffany & Co. of New York, priced to consumers at $160.00 in 1930. This is one of only two I have ever seen. It is in excellent condition showing only the very slightest indications of wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 38mm long and 27mm wide. Enamel inlaid dial has been restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and luminous numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19 jewel Hamilton grade 979-F movement.
