Elgin “Model E-9” men’s Art Nouveau design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Model E-9” has an ornately engraved Art Nouveau case. The case also has engraved designs along the sides and its original engraved crown. This example is in excellent condition with just a tiny amount of brassing to the bezel corners and lug edges. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with one tiny ding. Case measures 36mm long and 27mm wide. Dial has been restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and luminous numerals and hands. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement.
