Scarce Elgin “Model E-12” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in two-tone 14K green and white gold fill with green and black enamel bezel, circa 1933.
This striking Elgin has everything one could ask for in an Art Deco design wristwatch... a two-tone case and fantastic green and black enamel Southwestern geometric designs on the bezel. It is the first example of this watch I have offered in several years. This example is in excellent condition with just a few specks of brassing to the bezel and lugs. Enamel is excellent and exhibits only minor loss. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a parchment white finish and gold embossed stylized Egyptian numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement.
