Very scarce Gruen "Pan American Ace" men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in steel, circa 1945.
The Gruen “Pan American Ace” is usually seen in gold fill, but a small quantity of all-steel cased examples are known. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. The case measures 39mm long and 32mm wide. Original two-tone white and silver 24-hour military dial is excellent, has silver inlaid square markers. Acrylic crystal is excellent. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen grade 420SS Veri-Thin movement.
