Very rare Gruen “Quadron” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 18K white gold, circa 1928.
It is very unusual to find a solid 18K gold “Quadron” model, they are very rare; this is the first I have offered. This example also contains the rare engraved and gilt-finished Extra Precision movement, often and erroneously referred to as the "Anniversary" movement. This watch was priced at $125.00 in 1928. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Ornately engraved caseback is excellent. Case measures 36mm long and 23mm wide. Aged dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Gruen Extra Precision grade 119 movement.
