These military-style watches were very popular during and immediately after World War I. This example is the larger 0-size and has a brilliant white porcelain dial with bold, shadowed box-style numerals and a “Duo” crystal guard made by the Mealy Manufacturing Co. The silverode (nickel) case was made by the Philadelphia Watch Case Co. Caseback is very good and unengraved. Original porcelain dial is superb, with no chips or cracks. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 320 movement. Nickel crystal guard is excellent, is marked “Pat. Pen. Duo” on underside.
