Rare Gruen “Import Model 144” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 18K white gold, circa 1928.
This rare, smaller-sized model has a solid 18K gold case made by the Gruen-Weber Case Co. in Geneva, Switzerland. It is has a very heavy case containing about 10 grams of 18K gold. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent, with an engraving. The case measures 35mm long and 20mm wide. Dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Gruen grade 835 movement.
