Rare and exquisite Hamilton “Cambridge” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid platinum, circa 1947.

The “Cambridge” shares the same case design as the 14K gold “Brock” model, but in a case made of solid platinum instead. Priced to consumers at an exorbitant $300.00 in 1947, the Hamilton catalog described the watch as the “…distinctive mark of a man who is free to choose as he will.” It is quite scarce... significantly harder to find than its platinum counterpart the “Rutledge.” This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing almost no wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Original dial is superb. Has rhodium-plated, solid 18K gold numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982M movement.
