Hamilton “Douglas” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1941.
The “Douglas” was introduced in 1941 with the same case as the earlier “Morley,” but with a coral finish dial and rhodium plated hands and numerals instead. The “Douglas” was priced to consumers at $40.00 and Hamilton records show that 10,561 examples were produced. This example is in excellent condition with light brassing to the highpoints of the case. Caseback is excellent and unengraved with a small area of wear near the crown. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Original coral finish dial is superb, has solid 18K gold rhodium-plated applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 987A movement.
Price $175.
