Scarce Elgin “Enamel Thrift 433” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium nickel with black enamel bezel, circa 1929.

The “4337” was part of the less-expensive “Thrift” series of watches, and has become one of the classic Art Deco Elgin designs of all time, and highly desirable today.  It has a cushion-shaped case with numerals set in four black enamel panels around the dial.  This example is in excellent condition with no wear or corrosion to the chromium nickel case.  Chromium nickel bezel is excellent, with the black enamel showing only some minor chipping.  Caseback is superb and unengraved.  The case measures 34mm long and 30mm wide.  Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish.  Has new glass crystal.  This watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 485 movement.
