Scarce Gruen “Curvex Executive” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K pink gold with diamond dial, circa 1947.
The “Executive” is quite scarce in pink, most examples seen are in white or yellow. This is one of only a handful I’ve seen. It was priced at $200.00 in 1947. This example is in crisp, near mint condition showing almost no wear. Facets are sharp and the sides of the case retain their factory brushed finish. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with its factory brushed finish. Case measures 35mm long and 22mm wide. Original factory-finish black diamond dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen Precision grade 440 Curvex movement.
