Outrageous Benrus “Hindu Temple” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium-plated 14K gold fill, circa 1929.
This large Benrus has incredible Art Deco engraved floral and figural stylized Eastern-inspired designs on the bezel. This is the first example of this watch I have offered in several years. It is in very good condition with complete engravings on the bezel and some light overall scratching to the chromium plating. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with some scratches and dents. The hinge is broken but the caseback snaps tightly. The case measures 41mm long and 27mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and bold, Art Deco luminous numerals and matching luminous hands. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Benrus adjusted movement.
