Scarce Illinois “Jolly Roger” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.
The “Jolly Roger” was priced to consumers at $42.50 in 1929 and is a fairly large watch for the era. It is in excellent condition with only a small speck of brassing in each bezel corner and a thin line of brassing near the crown. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 36mm long and 31mm wide. Refinished black painted numeral dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Illinois grade 307 movement.
