Elgin “Thrift 674” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in chromium nickel with black enamel bezel, circa 1931.
This striking Elgin wristwatch has a cushion-shaped case with Art Deco designs in black enamel. It as priced at $24.00 in 1931. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with all of its frosted chromium finish intact. Black enamel is superb and complete. Caseback is excellent and unegraved, with some light pitting. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 movement.
