Gruen “Cartouche 97” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold with black enamel, circa 1929.
This Gruen has highly stylized geometric designs inlaid with black enamel. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing almost no wear. Black enamel is perfect and complete. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 26mm long and 16mm wide. Original two-tone dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. Has new black grosgrain cloth strap with original solid 14K white gold Art Deco design clasp. The watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Gruen Guild grade 833 adjusted movement.
