Elgin “American Efficiency 456” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929
This large watch has a square case with Art Deco stylized geometric interlocking designs on the bezel and a reed coin-edge design along the sides of the case. It is in excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 36mm long by 30mm wide. Dial has restored to its correct original appearance with a parchment white finish, gold embossed stylized Egyptian numerals, and luminous dots. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Elgin grade 487 adjusted movement.
