Rare Illinois “Berkeley” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with red and black enamel, circa 1930.
The “Berkeley” has an ornately engraved Art Deco octagonal case with fantastic red and black enamel geometric designs. Quite expensive for a ladies’ model, it was priced at $55.00 in 1931. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing. Enamel is superb and complete. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few tiny dings. The case measures 31mm long and 17mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a two-tone silver Butler and white finish. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Illinois grade 807A movement.
