Sleek Elgin “Legionnaire 1812” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in steel, circa 1934.
This smaller-sized Elgin has a wonderful stepped round case with a striking two-tone dial with silver inlay. It was priced to consumers at $20.00 in 1934. The steel case show only very light wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 32mm long and 25mm wide. Original dial shows some age spots, but is very good and has a two-tone silver Butler finish and silver inlaid Roman numerals and borders. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 519 movement.
