Uncommon Elgin “Campus 669” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1928.
This variety of the Elgin’s “Campus” is not often seen and is only the second example I have offered. It has a large rectangular cut-corner case with stylized engravings on the bezel and gold-inlaid numerals on the dial. This example is in excellent condition with crisp engravings and no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 39mm long and 28mm wide. Dial has been restored to its correct original appearance with gold-inlaid Art Deco stylized numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 430 movement.
