Extremely rare Hamilton “Cameron” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold, circa 1939.
An outstanding Hamilton rarity, the white “Cameron” appears only briefly in the 1939 Hamilton catalog, along with the equally rare white 18K Richmond. Yellow gold was in favor with consumers in the late 1930s, and white Hamilton models from this time period are extremely rare. This is only the second white “Cameron” I have seen. This example is in near mint condition showing virtually no signs of wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved with all of its original factory-applied brushed finish intact. The case measures 37mm long and 22mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19 jewel Hamilton grade 982 movement.
