Very rare Hamilton “Cambridge” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid platinum, circa 1951.

The “Cambridge” shares the same case design as the 14K gold “Brock” model, but in platinum.  Offered only from 1951 to 1953, the Hamilton catalog described the watch as the “…distinctive mark of a man who is free to choose as he will.”  The "Cambridge" was not priced in the Hamilton catalog, and was available on application only.  It is very rare, significantly rarer than its platinum counterpart “Rutledge.” This is the first I have ever offered. This example is in excellent condition showing only very slight wear.  Caseback is superb and unengraved.  The case measures 38mm long and 21mm wide.  Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and solid 18K gold rhodium-plated numerals.  Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19 jewel Hamilton grade 982M movement.
