Hamilton “Seneca” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K gold, circa 1938.
One of Hamilton’s classic Art Deco tank watches, the “Seneca” has a very elegant triple-stepped, solid gold rectangular case. The “Seneca” was priced to consumers at $77.50 in 1938. This example is in excellent condition showing only slight wear. Bezel steps are well-defined. Caseback is excellent, with a fire department presentation inscription. The case measures 36mm long and 20mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19 jewel Hamilton grade 982 movement.
