Gruen “Flying Saucer” men’s Space Age design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1955.
This Gruen has a large, elliptical and stepped case with hooded lugs that give it the appearance of a flying saucer. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 38mm long and 34mm wide. Original back dial is superb. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Gruen grade 415 movement.
