Gruen “Veri-Thin Master” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in pink gold fill with Guildite caseback, circa 1941.
The “Master” has a subtly stepped case with sloping lugs, and was priced to consumers at $33.75 in 1941. It is in excellent condition with just a touch of wear to the highpoints of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 36mm long and 26mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a two-tone pink and silver finish, with stylized exploding Roman numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Gruen grade 405 Precision Veri-Thin movement.
