Hamilton “Douglas” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1942.
The “Douglas” was introduced in 1941 with the same case as the “Morley,“ but with a coral dial and rhodium plated hands and numerals instead. The “Douglas” was priced to consumers at $40.00 and Hamilton records show that 10,561 examples were produced. This example is in very good condition with light brassing to the highpoints of the case. Caseback is excellent and unengraved with a minor touch of wear. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a coral finish and solid 18K gold numerals plated with rhodium. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 987A movement.
