Uncommon Elgin “Trench” men’s Military design wristwatch in nickel, circa 1917.

This circa 1911 Elgin 0-size movement has a bright white porcelain dial with bold black numerals, and is housed in a silverode case produced by the Philadelphia Watch Case Co. around 1917. These military-style watches were very popular during and immediately after World War I. This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some minor discoloration and pitting. Case measures 37mm long and 33mm wide. Original porcelain is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 320 movement.
