Scarce Elgin “Madame Agnes” ladies’ Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill with black enamel bezel, circa 1928.
The “Madame Agnes” was part of Elgin's Parisienne line and features abstract sunray designs in black enamel on the bezel. It was priced to consumers at $35.00 in 1928. This example is in excellent condition with some light brassing in the bezel corners. Black enamel is excellent and complete, with only some faint scratches. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 30mm long and 17mm wide. Original dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 488 movement.
