Gruen “Curvex Sergeant” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1938.
Gruen had much success with its Curvex line introduced in 1935. This model has a striking original tri-color dial with black, gray, and silver and prominent horn-shaped lugs. It is in excellent condition with only a speck or two of brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved with only a tiny speck or two of wear. Case measures 38mm long and 24mm wide. Original dial is excellent, has black and gray background with silver numerals and hands. Has one mark near 8. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Gruen grade 330 Precision Curvex movement.
