Scarce Bulova “Rite-Angle” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 10K yellow rolled gold plate, circa 1938.
The “Rite-Angle” features a fantastic sleek, streamlined and triple-stepped case that is inclined toward the top of the dial, raising the dial just enough to meet the normal line of vision, thus making the time easier to read at a glance. Apparently offered for only a short time, it is a very difficult to find watch today. This one is in excellent condition with only very light brassing to the highpoints of the lugs. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with a touch of wear in the corners and along the edges. Case measures 39mm long and 24mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a parchment white finish and gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Bulova grade 8AZ movement.
