Hamilton “Webster” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1934.

The “Webster” has a large barrel-shaped case with streamlined grooves along each side.  It was priced to consumers at $55.00 in 1934, and a total of 9,987 were produced in white gold fill.  This example contains Hamilton’s premium 19-jewel adjusted grade 979-F movement.  Hamilton offered this upgrade from May of 1934 to October 1934, and a mere 820 examples of the white “Webster” were sold as such.  This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing to the bezel, which is highly unusual for the “Webster.”  Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with only a trace of wear at the opening tab and some light scratches.  Case measures 38mm long and 27mm wide.  Black enamel inlay dial is very good, with some streaking.  The watch is powered by its correct 19 jewel Hamilton grade 979-F movement.
