Rare Bulova “Buckingham” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1928.
The “Buckingham” is perhaps the rarest and most desirable of the many Art Deco designs made by Bulova in the 1920s. It is a large, curved watch with panels containing an unusual black-inlaid pebble design, which wrap around the back of the case as well. It was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1928. This watch is in crisp, near mint condition with all of its original factory-applied matte finish intact. Curved caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 25mm wide. Dial shows pleasing patina from age. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Bulova grade 8AN movement.
