Very rare Illinois “Piccadilly” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1929.
Among the most desirable of Illinois wristwatches, the “Piccadilly” has a sculpted oval case. It priced to consumers at $45.00 in 1929. It is very rare in green and this is one of only a handful I’ve ever seen. It is in excellent condition with only a tiny amount brassing to the bezel and a touch to the lugs. Caseback is very good and unengraved, with a touch of wear one one edge. Case measures 32mm long and 35mm wide. Gold etched dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Illinois movement.
