Rare Hamilton “Taylor” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1936.

Offered only for 10 months from September of 1936 to July of 1937, the “Taylor” is rare and difficult to find.  It has hinged lugs prone to severe wear and breakage, which was why it was likely replaced with its fixed lug twin, the “Talbot” in July of 1937.  This is the only example I have ever offered and it is in excellent condition showing only a few tiny specks of brassing to the bezel and some light brassing to the lugs.  Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some tiny spots of wear in the corners.  Case measures 41mm long and 21mm wide.  Black enamel inlaid dial has been perfectly refinished to its correct original appearance with a two-tone silver Butler and white finish.  Has new glass crystal.  The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 980 movement.
