Elgin “Campus 942” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1932.
The “Campus” has a large curved case with hooded lugs which conceal where the strap attaches. It is in very good condition with some light scratching to the chromium finish. Caseback is fair and unengraved, and exhibits typical pitting. The case measures 38mm long and 24mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a parchment white finish and gold embossed stylized Oriental numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7 jewel Elgin grade 488 movement. Comes with vintage English cordovan strap in good condition.
