Very scarce Elgin “Model E-7” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1930.

This variety of the “Model E-7” has a cushion-shaped dial rather than the round dial usually seen with this model. This is only the third example I’ve had of this cushion-dialed version; it is quite scarce. Elgin likely assigned a different model number based on the different dial and bezel, but Elgin experts have yet to determine its true name from any currently known Elgin documentation. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with one ding. Case measures 33mm long and 30mm wide. Dial is an older refinish, has very light patina. Glass crystal is excellent. Watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
