Lord Elgin “Model 4803” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1943.
The “Model 4803” has an unusual silvered dial with exploding Roman numerals and gilt inlaid markers set in a pastel green track. It was priced to consumers at $55.00 in 1943. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel and lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 26mm wide. Original two-tone silver and green dial is very good, with some patina. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 556 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
