Rare Elgin “Model E-12 Enamel Bezel” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill with black and white enamel bezel, circa 1928.
The E-12 came in several case colors and with several combinations of enamel color. This version in yellow gold fill with black and white enamel seems to be the most elusive. This is only the second example I have offered. It is in excellent condition with no brassing. Enamel is excellent. Caseback is very good and unengraved, but with numerous dings. Case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a parchment white finish, gold embossed stylized Egyptian numerals, and luminous dots and hands. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 15 jewel Elgin grade 428 movement.
