Very scarce Hamilton “Putnam” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1932.
Very low production of only 3,864 watches in white. The “Putnam” is perhaps Hamilton’s most dramatically stepped Art Deco design wristwatch from the 1930s. The “Putnam” in white is quite difficult to find in excellent condition and this is the first one I have offered in several years. This example is in excellent condition with only a minor touch of brassing to the top of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a little wear in the corners. Case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Dial has been beautifully restored to its correct original appearance with a silver Butler finish and luminous numerals and hands. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17 jewel Hamilton grade 987-F movement.
